People are always asking me if I know Tyler Durden...
I don't.
But I can tell you a little about an Indian from the Port Gamble S'Klallam Tribe whose love for both art and pop culture has led him to a life with both meaning and happiness.
This is the tale of Jeffrey Veregge.

I am a Geek, a Nerd and I love film, TV, comics, science fiction, horror and toys. I am a 42yr old child, who combines his passion for those genres along with his graphic design background and flavor my work with Coastal Salish elements. Dubbed Salish Geek, I work at maintaining an artistic balance that allows the viewer to see both the characters and the Native voice that is being portrayed in each piece. Both are essential in delivering a piece that makes me feel like a child when I am creating something new.

My dedication to this art has led me to be featured in Fast Company Magazine, worked with companies like: NIKE & Viacom and am currently employed as a Comic book artist working with Marvel, IDW & Valiant comics. The past 2 years I have worked on nearly 70 books and 25 separate titles with these companies. Some of the titles have been: Red Wolf, GI Joe, Transformers, Captain America, Judge Dredd and Bloodshot.

Doing this work has opened some fantastic doors for me and you will be seeing very soon more titles where I will once again be the lead cover artist, I will also be doing interior work in some books and should have at least 2 separate titles of my own to debut sometime next year. Along with my comic work, I have some great announcements from galleries both local and national that I will be featured in during 2017 that I will be sharing once I get dates firmed up.

You can find also find my work in most comic shops, and Barnes and Noble, as well as The Burke Museum, Suquamish Museum and the Washington State History Museum locally and if you are in Los Angeles, visit the Hero Complex Gallery, where I work directly with film studios on select art shows each year.

Through the end of this week you can also catch Jeffrey's work on view at CoCA PS35 where it is part of the acclaimed 'What You See is What You Sweat' exhibition, on view through Saturday, August 27.
