CoCA Magic: Marathon & Auction Thanks

We are just now recovering from the awesome magic generated at our annual event. How was it for you? Here are some thoughts, from our auction community.

First, we are proud that we could share our CoCA magic with everyone who was able to attend the 24 Hour Marathon and Auction. As you probably know, an event like this is not easy to pull together. But we are so thankful for our supportive community, and happy to be able to provide a safe space where our 20 artists were able to create AMAZING art for 24 hours straight.

I really enjoyed the “magic” that occurred during the CoCA auction. Not only did it feel right in line with our mission at Gallery One Visual Art Center, I was inspired by how you manifest your support of artists. Thank you for sharing that with me.

We are thrilled to share that we were able to raise over $108,000! As a non profit, this money is a huge help and one of the main reasons we are still able to serve as a catalyst & forum for the advancement, understanding, and development of contemporary art. Of course, these funds are used to pay the artists 50% of their selling price, normal for galleries, but unusual for non-profit fundraising. We support our artists directly first!

CoCA’s 2019 Marathon & Auction night definitely lives up to its name “Magic”. My feelings got taken to a colorful, creative and well-diversified magical land. The color changing cocktail is the first taste. The open-minded, eye-opening artworks with great variety is the climax. The touching closing words are the final delicate touch. I think it is safe to say I had a magical night there.
