GiveBIG is an annual online giving event supporting local nonprofits that make our community a better place to live and CoCA is pleased to be a part of this community. Our GiveBIG goal is $7500 and every dollar up to $3750 will be matched by Elysian Brewing!

Donations made by art lovers and supporters help CoCA provide a safe place of belonging for all. Artists courageously ask the important questions in life and CoCA serves as a sanctuary for those voices and the people that hear them. Every time we choose to listen and uplift the courageous, the community around us gets healthier, braver and more vibrant.

**Join us on May 9 from 5-9pm at Jewel Box Theatre, 2322 2nd Ave in downtown Seattle, for a community celebration of some awesome GiveBIG nonprofits including CoCA. CoCA member and artist, Kree Arvanitas, a.k.a. HennaDervish will be giving henna tattoos for donors at the $25 level and above!

**All GiveBIG donors will be invited to a VIP reception on June 6 at CoCA for a fun celebration and preview of the upcoming exhibit, "Painters Who Fucking Know How to Paint."

Please join these artists and art lovers in their support of CoCA during GiveBIG and help us maintain the #CoCASanctuary For All! You can pledge your love now with the pre-giving option here:

As a student at Cornish College of the Arts in Seattle, I won first prize in a juried student-art show for my sculpture. The winner got to show at CoCA! It was EVERYTHING to me, validation, respect, and hope. Soon after, I had to put my artistic dreams on hold to raise my daughter and see her successfully through college. And now, 25 years later I started doing my fine art again and entered the 2018 CoCA Creativity Persists juried show. My sculpture was chosen to be in the show! Once again, it Is EVERYTHING to me, validations, respect, and hope.
— Patti Curtis
CoCA has been instrumental in allowing me to see myself as an artist. The opportunity to be in the show Math n Art and the Members’ Showcase, and the encouragement from the CoCA community, has given me the confidence to create and showcase new projects and to participate in a series of fascinating and enriching conversations.
— Jayadev Athreya
CoCA was there for me when raw emotions needed funneling and thankfully, creating and being part of this art community was the path I took. It continues to be an organization that while demanding excellence, does not discourage experimentation.
— Juan Alonso-Rodriguez
The people that come to CoCA every day create a sanctuary that I truly value. CoCA was the first place in Seattle that I felt I belonged. I related to not only the shows that were presented but created lifelong bonds with the people who helped make them happen.
— Megan Glasscock
CoCA for me has been a place for contemporary art to flourish in Seattle. And to give local artists a place for their voices to be heard.
— Ellen Hochberg
The artists who love and support CoCA are the people you want to know because they’re the ones who will fight for you. It is with immense pride I say, I am now one of them.
— Rohena Alam Kahn
