Sponsor the Marathon & Auction: CoCA Sanctuary

About the 2018 Marathon & Auction: CoCA Sanctuary

CoCA’s 26th Annual 24-Hour Art Marathon & Auction is a three-day celebration of contemporary art. This year, the events start with our one-of-a-kind 24-hr art-making marathon on Thursday, September 20, 2018, at 10am at the Summit on Pike Street, when over 20 artists embark on a 24-hour journey where they paint, draw, collage, spray and wax their way to over 100 new works of art. On the evening of that Thursday, we hold our popular Art Preview Party where the public is invited to preview the completed works and hoist a glass of beer in celebration. Then the these freshly minted works of art will be auctioned off Saturday, September 22, 2018 by the indomitable and entertaining auctioneer, Laura Michalek. Guests will be treated to a sumptuous seated dinner.

Why Sponsor 2018 Marathon & Auction: CoCA Sanctuary?

CoCA is a refuge for artists who are looking to share their voice, creativity and engage with the larger community.  When you align with CoCA, you help us provide:

  • Opportunity  We highlight our region's visual artists and dancers, to spoken word and tech-driven magicians, as well as bring contemporary artists from all over the world to Seattle in multiple shows per year. Hundreds attend monthly exhibits and events; our marathon & auction events are anticipated by all and extremely well-attended.
  •  Association  We’re a fun, inclusive group, and our diverse cross-section of members and followers is ever expanding. This event goes out to several thousand people on Facebook & Instagram and several thousands more on our mailing list, including our corporate partners, small businesses, arts leaders, and association of the region's galleries and arts community.
  • Impact  From our space at the Tashiro Kaplan All-Arts Building in Pioneer Square, to our community booth at the Seattle Art Fair, and through the outreach of our members as well as pop-ups across the region, CoCA is seen and heard.
