You Know The Vibe
You Killed The Vibe
Artist’s Statement:
Sometimes, I am just moved by a beat and want to see where my paint brush takes me. Sometimes paint talks to me through its colors.
I give it life and each piece dances to its own orchestra and symphony.
YKTV captures key artworks from the past decade. During this time, I went from painting extreme abstract pieces to narrative storytelling tales of my life and culture to no limit abstract expressionism with paint spatter. My paint brush seeked social issues, justice, news circling injustice, inequality, and my own journey of self-discovery and exploration.
As I leaning more into other forms of expression such as dance and filmmaking, I am to keep the vibe alive by balancing my politically charged large-scale portraiture work with ligher, simpler, more humorous paintings.
To know my work is to know #modernBangladesh
